The Club can today announce that head coach Richard Makumbi has left his role at Lugazi FC by mutual agreement.

The decision comes after a thorough evaluation of the team’s performance and future direction.

Coach Makumbi joined Lugazi FC with great enthusiasm and dedication, and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision, because we appreciate his hard work and commitment during his tenure.

However, both parties have agreed that it is in the best interest of the club to part ways at this time.

Makumbi leaves with our sincerest thanks for his tireless efforts as head coach and our very best wishes for the future.

“We would like to thank Coach Makumbi for his service to Lugazi FC,” said the club’s Chairman Hajji Abdul Kawuulu.

“He has been a valuable member of our team, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

“We have nine FUFA Big League games remaining and we have a fight on our hands for promotion.”

“We all need to pull together. Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our Club and amazing, loyal supporters.”

The club will immediately begin the search for a new head coach. In the meantime, Assistant Coach Gerard Efit will assume the role of interim head coach immediately.

Lugazi FC remains focused on its goals for the season and is confident in the abilities of its players and coaching staff to achieve success.
