We are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Juma Mutebi from KCCA FC.

The youthful gloves man has signed a three-year contract with the club, and will join his teammates immediately.

On completing his transfer, Mutebi said;

“Lugazi FC is that team that gives opportunities to the young players and I believe I will get playing time here. The desire to play with people I have grown up with, and to work with a coach who understands my playing style also lured me to join the team,” he said.

“I know a couple of players here including Fahad Emuran. As I said, I have grown up with them, studied with them and played with them in several tournaments. Coach Ssempigi also knows me very well because he always gives us training sessions and drills when we go back to our home area – Wobulenzi, Luwero.”

“Now with such people around me, I think I will put up very good performances to meet the expectations and objectives of the team.”

Mutebi started his career at Aspire Soccer Academy in 2014 before joining Joswill Soccer Academy the following year.

He represented Nakaseke International College and Kawempe Muslim SS in different schools competitions before playing for Kibuli SS.

 After progressing well through the school ranks, he secured a move to Ntugasaze FC in January 2022. The gifted goalkeeper played nine games for the club in the second round of the 2021/22 season of the Buganda regional league and kept five clean sheets.

His fantastic showings between the uprights caught the attention of KCCA FC who signed him up in 2023. He featured in three games for the Kasasiro boys last season.

Welcome to Lugazi FC, Mutebi!
