Full Time: Lugazi FC 1-1 Booma FC

Booma FC scored a late equalizer to snatch a 1-1 draw against Lugazi FC at the Lugazi FC Stadium on Thursday as the Leaders extended their unbeaten run to 11 games.
With both sides very much in the hunt for promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, the two sides were pushing to get back to winning ways after failing to win their respective games last week.
It was the hosts who eventually settled the quicker and it didn’t take them long to take the lead either with talisman Ronald Ssemugugu adding to his tally this season after 19 minutes.
However, Booma FC was not ready to back down. Determined to level the playing field, they intensified their attacks, probing for an opportunity to strike back.

Their persistence paid off in the 73rd minute when they managed to equalize, sending shockwaves through the crowd and setting the stage for a nail-biting finish.
As the game progressed, both teams made strategic substitutions to maintain their momentum.
In a triple substitution move by Lugazi FC in the 61st minute, Moses Buga, Alvin Birungi, and Muhammad Lubega made way for Freedom Mungudit, Ronald Ssempala, and Louis Anguti, injecting fresh energy into the squad.

Meanwhile, in the 85th minute, Kalanzi Abdul of Lugazi FC was replaced by Mitala Mubarak, as the teams battled fiercely for supremacy.
The closing minutes of the game saw intense back-and-forth action, with neither side willing to concede defeat.
Despite their best efforts, neither Lugazi FC nor Booma FC could find the decisive goal, resulting in a hard-fought 1-1 draw.

With group leaders Police FC failing to win against Kaaro Karungi, as they were held to a goalless draw against Kaaro Karungi, Lugazi remain two points behind the Cops.
With no Uganda Cup fixtures to come, Lugazi returns to action in three weeks on March 24, when they host Calvary FC before facing another promotion hopeful Mbale Heroes at the end of March.
