As we make our debut in the StarTimes FUFA Big League for the 2022/23, we, at Lugazi FC, can confirm that two of our players, Moses Buga and Deogratious Ssentongo, have signed contract extensions.
The two players, who were instrumental in guiding the club to Uganda’s second tier football league, have put pen to paper on two year contracts, keeping them with the ‘Leaders’, as we were baptised, until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Both Moses Buga Ojoaza and Deogratious Ssentongo joined Lugazi FC in 2020, crossing from our neighbors, Lugazi Municipal FC.
Deogratious Ssentongo, an extremely exciting midfielder, was part of the team that won the 2018/19 FUFA Juniors League with Bul Football Club.
Buga, on the other hand, started his football career at Lugazi Young FC in 2007, before joining Friends of Soccer Club in 2011.
He later joined TY Lugazi Sports Club in 2013 where he spent five (5) years, before joining Lugazi Municipal FC.
Moses Buga Ojoaza and Deogratious Ssentongo now join Ronald Kiddawalime on the list of players that have committed their near future to the club.
