Lugazi FC, formerly Kampala University FC, started in 2010 in the Luweero District Football Association. They moved up to the Buganda Regional League after winning the Zonal Mini League in 2012/2013. Despite losing in the FUFA Big League play-offs, they reorganized in 2020, rebranding as Lugazi FC. Within a year, they won the BRL, advancing to the FUFA Big League. Their goal is Uganda Premier League entry and continental competition participation, driven by values of diversity, integrity, accountability, fun, innovation, and teamwork. They aim to become a self-sustainable club, focusing on talent development and success in African football.
