We are thrilled to announce that Muhammad Lubega, our formidable right full-back, has renewed his contract for another three years.
This exciting development ensures the continuation of a successful partnership that has seen Lubega rise to become an essential part of our defensive line since his arrival from URA FC’s junior team.
“Since day one when I joined the club, I felt so much appreciation from the fans, my teammates, and the staff that I could be a very important member of this football club,” Lubega said.
Lubega has been a consistent performer for the team, impressing both fans and management alike. Unfortunately, a knee injury last March led to an abrupt end to his 2022/23 season. But this setback hasn’t slowed him down.
Lubega is diligently working his way back to full fitness, eager to return to the pitch and contribute to the team’s success once again.
“It has been going well; unfortunately, last season for me personally has been a season to forget, to learn from and take with me,” he shared.
“But I have enjoyed my time here and will keep enjoying it in the next couple of years, altogether with all of you.”
As we look forward to the upcoming seasons, we couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds for Lubega and Lugazi FC.
