Sunday 10th April 2022 will be recorded under the books of records for not only Lugazi FC but also former Uganda Cranes star, Augustine Nsumba as Lugazi FC takes on Synergy Football Club in the 2021/22 Buganda Regional League at Mehta Stadium Lugazi.
Early this week, Nsumba and Lugazi FC entered into a short term renewable contract aimed at seeing the two parties have their dreams come true.
Coach Augustine Nsumba who is a qualified CAF C holder will be assisted by Dan Ssegawa who has be on an interim role.
Nsumba finds Lugazi FC in the second position of the Buganda Regional League of Ssezibwa group with 26 points from the 11 games played just Two (2) points behind leaders, Seeta United FC.
In first round game which was played at UEB Grounds Njeru, Lugazi FC got maximum points after winning the game by 2-1 score line.
Target Man, Gerald Ogweti and Abdul Kalanzi scored the two (2) important goals for Lugazi FC while Synergy Football club goal was scored by Samuel Nsalanka.
Before joining Lugazi FC, Nsumba played for SC Villa and URA, Uganda National Football Team (Uganda Cranes) player, coached URA FC Junior Team, Coached URA FC (Ass Coach), Coached Kyaggwe Ssaza Team.
