Our Lugazi FC club CEO, Sulait Abdul Swamadu, recently participated in a comprehensive two-day workshop organized by the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) in collaboration with the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The workshop, which concluded today at the prestigious Imperial Royale Hotel, brought together CEOs from clubs across various leagues, including the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, betPawa Big League, and FUFA Women Super League.

The primary focus of the workshop was to provide essential training for users of the Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP), which is set to become operational in the upcoming 2024/2025 Season. Additionally, the workshop aimed to present the CAF Club Licensing regulatory framework for both men’s and women’s football, edition 2022, and to elucidate the mandatory criteria for domestic and continental competitions.

Under the guidance of industry experts and seasoned professionals, Sulait Abdul Swamadu actively participated in discussions and training sessions aimed at enhancing his understanding of the club licensing process. By immersing himself in the workshop’s curriculum, Sulait Abdul Swamadu gained valuable insights into the intricate workings of club licensing and its implications for Lugazi FC.

The workshop concluded with closing remarks from Okello Lee, Chairman of the First Instance Body, underscoring the importance of club licensing in elevating the standards of football across Uganda. As Lugazi FC prepares for the forthcoming 2024/2025 Season, Sulait Abdul Swamadu’s participation in the workshop ensures that the club is well-equipped to navigate the evolving landscape of football governance and compliance.
