We are pleased to announce the acquisition of forward James Okiror, who joins us from Lira-based club Blacks Power FC.
The 25-year-old striker has signed a three-year contract that will secure his talents for Lugazi FC through 2026.
This strategic addition aims to strengthen our attacking lineup and immediately enhance the overall quality of the squad.
Upon sealing the deal with Lugazi FC, James Okiror expressed his excitement, saying, “It’s a pleasure to be here at Lugazi FC and I’m very happy to be a part of this great club.”
He continued, “As I say, I’ve watched quite a lot and it’s a very big club, and I hope I can give everything that I’ve got in order to help the team.”
James Okiror brings a wealth of experience to Lugazi FC, having honed his skills at several clubs.
He began his journey in professional football with the junior team of Saints FC before moving on to successful stints with Bukedea Town Council FC and, most recently, Blacks Power FC, where he spent four impressive seasons.
During the 2021/22 season, Okiror demonstrated his exceptional ability to find the back of the net, scoring nine goals and contributing eight assists in18 appearances.
His versatile attacking skills make him an invaluable asset to our club as we look to build a stronger, more competitive team.
We are optimistic that James Okiror’s arrival will mark a new chapter in Lugazi FC’s storied history, bringing both renewed energy and tactical acumen to our offensive game.
