After setting up an 100 percent winning record on his return to Lugazi football club as the head coach, Daniel Ssegawa has set a target of collecting three (3) points as his side visit Lugazi Nabugabo United FC on Sunday 13th, February 2022 at St Andrews playground, Lugazi.

Ssegawa who returned to the club to head the technical staff following the termination of Henry Amasha and his backroom staff contract has guided his side to the top of Ssezibwa group.

Under his guidance, Lugazi defeated Simba football club away from home and Buikwe Red Stars football club at home by 3-2 and 4-0 respectively.

“Our target is to see that we win all our remaining matches in first round to brighten our chances of qualifying to the 2nd tier league, the FUFA Big League”. Said Dan Ssegawa after Saturday training.

In the remaining fixtures, Lugazi has to play Lugazi Nabugabo United FC away (Sunday 13th Feb), Free Stars FC away in Mukono (Sat 19th Feb), Lugazi Municipal FC at home (Wednesday 23rd Feb), and Seeta United FC at home (Saturday 26th, FEB).

“Thanks to chairman for visiting the team on the final training and this has morale boasted and geared up the moods of the Boys a head of the game” Adds Ssegawa.

“The dream of the club is big but to reach that far, we need the supporters in the journey so it is my call to them (Supporters) to come in big number and collect the three points”

Dan Ssegawa named a final traveling squad of the eighteen boys who will jet on Sunday for the game to St Andrews Lugazi.

Team captain, Titus Lubega and James Ssentongo are some of the names which missed the trip to Lugazi Nabugabo United Fc due to injuries.

Names like Gerald “Mwenda” Ogweti who tops the scoring chat for the club this season, pacey winger, Moses “Itra” Buga, Abdul Kalanzi, Isaac “Dingo Kiiza, Rashid Ssemwogerere, John Taban, Farouk Bang and David Kabuye all made the final traveling squad.

Lugazi Football club tops the Ssezibwa group with Sixteen (16) points from Six (6) games played while Lugazi Nabugabo United football club are in the 7th position after collecting Seven points from same number f games played.
