Lugazi FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Oliver Mbekeka as the assistant coach, who will work alongside the newly appointed head coach, Sadiq Sempigi.

Mbekeka’s addition to the coaching staff is part of the club’s commitment to enhancing its technical team as it prepares for the upcoming 2024/25 season in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

A former player for the Crested Cranes – Uganda women’s national team, Mbekeka has transitioned into coaching with notable success.

She has previously managed teams such as the Uganda U-20 women’s national team and Lady Doves FC.

Sempigi, who has recently taken on the role of head coach, expressed his enthusiasm about working with Mbekeka.

“Oliver’s experience and deep understanding of the game will be invaluable as we aim to establish ourselves in the Premier League,” he told the club’s media.

“Her tactical knowledge and ability to mentor young talent align perfectly with our club’s vision,” he added.

Lugazi FC’s promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League marks a historic achievement for the club.

As they embark on this new journey, the club is focused on building a capable coaching team to ensure competitive performance at the highest level of Ugandan football.
