Lugazi FC, initially founded as Kampala University FC in 2010, began in the Luweero District Football Association before climbing up the league ladder. After winning the Zonal Mini League, they entered the Buganda Regional League (BRL) in the 2012/2013 season. Despite losing in the FUFA Big League play-offs, they underwent reorganization in 2020, leading to a name change to Lugazi FC. Within a year, they won the BRL, securing promotion to the FUFA Big League. Their ambition is to reach the Uganda Premier League and compete in continental competitions, embodying values of diversity, integrity, accountability, fun, innovation, and teamwork. Their long-term goal is to become a self-sustainable professional soccer team, fostering talent development and aiming for success on the African stage.
